MK Will Be President in 2026! Lord Mayor Lukwago Pours Cold Water on CDF’s Retreat From Presidential Race

Kampala Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago has strongly warned those taking General Muhoozi Keinerugaba’s recent declaration that he was getting out of the Presidential contention to be ready for a heartbreak.
Muhoozi, who has for long been viewed as the most probable successor to President Museveni, recently washed his hands clean, clarifying he will not be attempting to get elected President in the upcoming polls.
The CDF rather announced that he was endorsing General Yoweri Museveni for a seventh successive term, an announcement that continues to shake the nation.
Lord Mayor, Lukwago is, however refusing to take Muhoozi’s declaration with a plain interpretation, insisting he has been smelling a rat concerning the whole saga.
Lukwago, who has also been touted to be in contention for the top seat in 2026, says he is quite certain that the First Son could be the President of this country even before the next general elections arrive.
To shed more light on his suspicion, Lukwago notes MK’s recent remarks accompanying his withdrawal announcement where he revealed that no civilian can rule this country from outside the police and the army.
MK’s Secret Gameplan
Lukwago is greatly anticipating that Muhoozi could opt to oust his father’s government as early as next year to save himself the trouble of going through a complex intricate electoral process.
” He says he will not be on the ballot yet he wants to be President. How then will he become one! Whoever is expecting an election in 2026 must be kidding. This country will be captured instead.” Lukwago explains.
He likens Muhoozi to renowned fascists and dictators like late Gaddafi of Libya and North Korea’ Kim Jong Un who he says believe in an absolute right of a certain class of people to rule others.
” Muhoozi is more less like Gaddafi. He was trained in Libya. His first major rank was bestowed upon him by Gaddafi who once told Museveni that revolutionaries should never be subjected to elections. That’s why Muhoozi hates elections.” He submits, throwing his hands in the hair with his characteristic screwed face.
Lukwago’s wild speculation will most certainly add to the already raging debate on the future of the country heading into an interesting political period. Talk has been going around that there are plans to amend the constitution to bar the public from the election of the Head of State, rather opting for a parliamentary voting system.
