"Museveni Has Bribed NUP To Kill My Presidency in 2026" Bobi Wine Hits Hard At Kaguta With A Scandal
Opposition leader Bobi Wine has accused President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of orchestrating a grand plot to dismantle the opposition by infiltrating its ranks and manipulating its key figures.
According to Daily Monitor, Wine asserted that Museveni’s regime has been covertly working to undermine his People Power movement by using former opposition leaders to tear it apart from within.
“We are now fully aware that the government is using our former Leader of Opposition in Parliament to register People Power as a political party. This process started two years ago when he was still LoP and deputy president of the movement. The regime is not just attacking us from the outside but from within, using our own to orchestrate an implosion within NUP_Ug,” Bobi Wine declared.
Wine’s words were delivered with unmistakable urgency, warning that the government’s strategy is one of divide and conquer, systematically fostering divisions and splits within the opposition.
“These splits are not innocent. They are meticulously crafted works of the regime, and they started long ago,” he exclaimed.
According to Wine, this campaign is aimed at derailing his presidential ambitions and dismantling the National Unity Platform (NUP), Uganda’s leading opposition force.
Yet, he emphasized that his movement is not merely defined by a name or structure, but by the deeper values it upholds.
“For us, it is not about just a name; it’s about the values we stand for, and the mission to free our country,” he claimed.
Bobi Wine’s words have set the political stage for an intense confrontation, as he battles not only Museveni’s entrenched regime but also potential betrayals from within. Uganda watches as the saga of political intrigue deepens.
