EXCLUSIVE: King Charles recognises Uganda UK Health Alliance Lead Person

London (UK) –  A Uganda Diaspora, Moses Mulimira joined 300 guests, including High Commissioners and Representatives from various organisations associated with the Commonwealth, during a reception hosted by the King & Queen at St. James’s Palace in London, to celebrate the Commonwealth Diaspora.
The event recognised and celebrated the contribution that Commonwealth Diaspora have made to UK life and further afield.
“Without the Commonwealth I wouldn’t be what I am today, because the UK & my motherland enjoy good ties. I wouldn’t have moved, settled & worked here. So it has definitely given me, and many Ugandans a number opportunities,” Mulimira emphasised.
Mulimira through the Uganda UK Health Alliance collaborates with various global health organisations, and Diaspora communities to alleviate health disparities and poverty, by creating global health initiatives between United Kingdom and Uganda.
“Having this platform, where I am able to advocate for global health makes me feel motivated. It’s always exciting, promoting Uganda on the global stage & in this case being recognised by the King & Queen.”
Mulimira’s dedication and contributions toward the health sector can be seen; through existing mutual partnerships between Uganda and United Kingdom.
The King commended the Uganda High Commission in London, led by H.E. Ambassador Nimisha Madhvani, and the Uganda Diaspora community for the contribution made to UK and further afield.
Attendees got to interact with some of the finest individuals from the commonwealth, including United Kingdom Minister for Foreign Affairs, Rt. Hon. David Lammy.
