Busoga Officials Appeal to Museveni to Reinstate Former KCCA Boss Dorothy Kisaka
Public servants from Busoga have made a request for President Yoweri Museveni to reinstate Dorothy Kisaka as the Executive Director of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA). Kisaka was removed from her position following the Kiteezi landfill disaster, which raised serious concerns about management practices.
Aggrey Kibenge, the chairman of the Busoga Public Officers Forum and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, led this call during a visit to Kyabazinga William Nadiope. He expressed gratitude to President Museveni for appointing several individuals from Busoga to important government roles. Kibenge specifically mentioned Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki and Benon Kigenyi, who have recently taken on key positions at KCCA, stating that their appointments reflected their hard work and dedication.
Kibenge also addressed the situation surrounding Kisaka’s departure. He expressed his belief that she possesses the skills and commitment needed to lead KCCA effectively.
