Shock As Indian Senior Auditor Strangely Perishes At Tembo Steel Factory
Reports reaching our desk indicate that an Indian external auditor, hired by Tembo Steel chairman Mr. Sanjay Awasthi, has mysteriously died inside the Tembo Steel Factory.
Mr. Dignish, a renowned auditor from India, was brought in to audit Mr. Golo, the embattled General Manager of Tembo Iganga Factory. Mr. Golo was recently fired but has refused to vacate his position, citing a witch-hunt by his immediate boss at the company’s Kampala headquarters, whose name has not been disclosed.
Sources suggest that the auditor’s death may be linked to financial losses by top managers at Tembo Steel, which had reportedly angered Chairman Sanjay Awasthi.
The Chairman of the Indian community in Uganda has yet to be informed of the auditor’s death.
Last week, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni commissioned a new state-of-the-art integrated steel factory in Iganga. However, prior to the President’s visit, three serious accidents occurred at the factory, resulting in the deaths of Ugandan employees, while others were left maimed.
Management at Tembo Steel, including Chairman Sanjay Awasthi and Group General Manager Mr. Manish, has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the deceased auditor possessed valid documents, including a work permit, and how long he had been in Uganda.
Some sources speculate that the auditor may have died of Ebola.
