On Tuesday, Maureen Atuhaire, the Commissioner of the Child and Family Protection Department of the Uganda Police Force, confirmed that the two teachers had been arrested. She took to her official X (formerly Twitter) account to share the news, stating, "Glad to let you know that the two teachers are already in our custody. They are yet to appear in court."

The arrest of the teachers has sparked mixed reactions. While some believe they deserve punishment for using excessive force, others argue that they were simply disciplining the student. The case now lies in the hands of the authorities, and many are eager to see how justice will be served.
