President Museveni, 20 African Kings Expected at Lango Paramount Chief’s Coronation

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to be the Guest of Honor during the coronation of Won Nyaci elect Eng. Dr. Moses Michael Odongo Okune, slated for November 2, 2024, at the Mayor’s Garden in Lira City, Lango sub-region, Northern Uganda.
The spokesperson of the Lango Cultural Institution, Counsel Okwir Patrick, confirmed to the press that several African kings have already confirmed their attendance at the coronation ceremony of Won Nyaci elect Eng. Dr. Moses Michael Odongo Okune in early November 2024.
Among those expected to attend the coronation are: Kyabazinga of Busoga, Rwot David Acana Il of Kerkwaro Acholi, Emor Emor of Teso, Won Ateker Papa Me Kumam His Royal Highness Raphael Otaya, King Oyoo of Toro, King Peter of Majesty Kingdom, and Raila Amolo Odinga of Kenya.
According to George Ojwang Opota, former American president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are also expected, in addition to the King of Nigeria and South Sudan, among others.
Okello Oyoo said the coronation would magnify the relationship of the Lango cultural institution with other institutions from other parts of the world. Okello Oyoo assured the members of the public that nothing would be an obstacle to the coronation.
2.8 billion shillings is expected to be raised for the colorful coronation of Won Nyaci elect Eng. Dr. Moses Michael Odongo Okune.
Atek Okwerodot I Ur clan head Okullu Okeng Patrick encouraged the Lango community in the diaspora to have confidence that no small disgruntled group would interfere with the coronation of Won Nyaci elect Dr. Moses Michael Okune on November 2, 2024.
The Lango Cultural Institution addressed the media last week from the Lango cultural center in Senior Quarters, Lira City East Division in Lira City.
