Jürgen Klopp 'blamed' by Vincent Kompany as Liverpool might have just done Arsenal a favor

Liverpool found a way to win against Burnley, but there was some fallout on the touchline. Vincent Kompany 'blamed' Jürgen Klopp, and it could be good for Arsenal.

The touchline was livelier than the pitch at times as Jürgen Klopp and Vincent Kompany both got booked in Liverpool vs Burnley.

In the wake of Burnley's 3-1 defeat to Liverpool, Vincent Kompany, the team's manager, has found himself in hot water. Kompany will be absent from the touchline during the upcoming Arsenal match at Turf Moor due to a suspension triggered by his third yellow card of the season. He believes that this penalty was influenced by Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.

During the game, tensions ran high between both sides. The first half ended in a draw, with Dara O'Shea's header neutralizing the opener from Diogo Jota. However, the tables turned in the second half as Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez scored for Liverpool, catapulting it back to the top of the Premier League standings.

Kompany received his yellow card amid a tense touchline environment, and he suspects that it was a reactionary move by referee Tim Robinson, who had earlier cautioned Klopp for his behavior on the sidelines. Kompany expressed his frustration, saying: "I think I got booked because I should have paid attention to the fact that Jürgen Klopp got booked because then all I think the referee did was just went looking for me."

Klopp himself admitted that emotions were running high during the match, and conceded he had 'no clue' why Kompany was shown a yellow card. He said: "It was emotional, definitely. Imagine in this game and the referee has a blue card available? It would have been the wild west."

Despite facing suspension and losing the match, Kompany remains optimistic about his team's performance. He noted several positive aspects of their play and emphasized their continued growth and belief. He said: "We will always feel disappointed about the result but the message to the team is we keep growing. Every day of the week we need to continue with that belief."

Kompany acknowledged Liverpool's skill and how challenging it can be to face such a team. Yet, he remains hopeful that Burnley's strong performances will not go unrewarded in future games
