NUP Activist Nimusiima Anselm Allegedly Murdered in Mitooma, Bobi Wine Shares Heartbreaking News

Robert Kyagulanyi, known as Bobi Wine and the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has shared some very sad news about the murder of an activist named Nimusiima Anselm. In a message on social media, Kyagulanyi reported that Nimusiima was killed in Katenga, Mitooma District, on Friday night.

Kyagulanyi explained that Nimusiima, who was only 28 years old and worked as a boda-boda rider in Ishaka town, was tricked into a dangerous situation by someone pretending to be a passenger. When they reached a dark area, he was attacked by others who strangled him and used sharp objects to harm him, leaving him dead. Kyagulanyi noted that Nimusiima had been receiving threats because he openly supported the People Power movement and NUP, which he showed through his clothing and activities.

Kyagulanyi also highlighted that this tragic event is part of a larger pattern, as many other activists have been violently killed as well. He mentioned names like Lochoto Ambrose Machete, Ritah Nabukenya, and Dan Kyeyune to illustrate this ongoing violence. He expressed his disappointment that the police have not shown interest in investigating these murders, saying that they have failed to seek justice for victims like Nimusiima.

Despite this grim situation, Kyagulanyi said he still hopes that one day justice will be done for all those who have lost their lives in the fight for a better Uganda. He mourned Nimusiima’s death as another painful reminder of the dangers faced by those who stand up for change in their country.
