NUP Mourns Death of Eastern Uganda Mobiliser Damalie Musiime

The National Unity Platform (NUP) is mourning the death of Damalie Musiime, a dedicated party mobiliser in Eastern Uganda.
In a statement, NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, described Musiime as a “staunch and reliable mobiliser” who played a critical role in advancing the party’s presence in the region.
“I am very saddened by the death of comrade Damalie Musiime who has been a staunch and reliable mobiliser of the NUP, especially in Eastern Uganda,” Kyagulanyi said.
“I send my sincere condolences to her family, fellow comrades, and the country at large for losing such a patriot.”
Kyagulanyi noted that although he was unable to attend the burial, which is taking place in Bugiri District, he is being represented by NUP Deputy President,Lina Zedriga, alongside several other party officials and supporters.
Musiime’s contribution to the NUP’s grassroots mobilisation efforts has been praised by party members, with many describing her as passionate, resilient, and committed to the cause for change in Uganda.
The cause of her death was not disclosed in the statement.
Her burial has drawn mourners from across the political spectrum, reflecting her influence within the NUP and the broader Eastern Uganda region.
