Ugandan Boxer Abdul Ssebute Signs Three-Year Management Deal in UK
Ugandan professional boxer Abdul Ssebute has signed a three-year management agreement with Albion Boxing Academy Cambridge and Nara Promotions to further develop his professional boxing career.
Ssebute, a former Bantamweight National Champion and East/Central African Regional Champion under the African Boxing Union (ABU), will have his boxing talent managed by the two entities as part of efforts to elevate his career on the international stage.
Under the agreement, the management team will oversee his training and development by providing access to training facilities, hiring experienced trainers, and helping him secure opportunities with leading promoters in the United Kingdom to participate in competitive fight nights.
Speaking after signing the deal, Ssebute, who currently works as a chef at Hobson Hotel Cambridge in the United Kingdom, expressed excitement about the new chapter in his career.
He said the partnership is a major step toward achieving his dreams in professional boxing, noting that having a proper management team is essential for any boxer hoping to progress in the competitive UK boxing scene.
Ssebute also appreciated the support he has received from his employer, Hobson Hotel Cambridge, his new management team, and Nara Promotionz for giving him the opportunity to pursue his ambitions in the sport.
His manager, Gary Davidson Jnr, a former boxer now working under Albion Boxing Academy Cambridge, said they were impressed by Ssebute’s discipline and talent, qualities they believe will help him succeed in professional boxing.
Trainer Tony Petchell also expressed confidence in the Ugandan boxer’s potential, noting that the academy is committed to helping him reach higher levels in the sport.
The agreement meeting was also attended by Lubowa Babu Hussein, Director of Nara Promotionz, and Edirisa Kiyemba, the organization’s Secretary, who both expressed full support for the partnership.
Meanwhile, Hobson Hotel Cambridge has indicated willingness to support and sponsor Ssebute during his fight nights. The hotel also welcomed Ugandans to visit its facilities across the United Kingdom, noting that it operates several branches ready to host guests.
