The mood in the Uganda She Cranes camp was dampened following the heart breaking 49-55 defeat at the hands of Jamaica in Pool B of the on-going 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Uganda lost to Jamaica in the third game of the championship at the Hydro arena in the preliminary round contest.

In the same pool, hosts Scotland clobbered Trindad and Tobago 77-27.

Uganda had a day earlier humiliated Trindad & Tobago 80-34 to register their second victory having opened with a 59-50 win over Wales.

On Tuesday, 28th July 2026, Uganda will face New Zealand at 9 PM.

Earlier on, Wales face Trinidad and Tobago at 6 PM.

During the same day, South Africa takes on Northern Ireland and Australia will play Malawi in Group A.
