Nobert Events loses his artificial teeth during LC1 election scuffle

Controversial events promoter Nobert Twizire, popularly known as Nobert Events, has opened up about how he lost his artificial teeth during the LC1 elections held across Uganda on Tuesday, July 28.

Speaking about the incident, Nobert revealed that the teeth were knocked out during a scuffle with one of his opponents, who was allegedly trying to block some of his supporters from casting their votes despite being duly registered.

“I had artificial teeth, which I got after the Weasel saga I was involved in. I lost them in the morning while polling officials were still verifying voters’ names in the register.”

According to Nobert, the disagreement stemmed from his opponent’s claim that only nurses and doctors were eligible to vote at the polling station because it was located in the Hospital Zone.

“He was insisting that only nurses and doctors should vote because it was the Hospital Zone. He forgot that the area is simply called Hospital Zone and is home to many other residents who are legitimate voters. In the middle of the confusion, he pushed me in the mouth, and all my artificial teeth came out.”

He added that replacing the teeth will not be cheap, revealing they cost him Shs4 million.

“They’re expensive because they cost me Shs4 million. The good thing is that I wasn’t seriously hurt, and I’m doing fine.”

Despite the unfortunate incident, Nobert remained in high spirits after securing his first-ever victory in elective politics.

“This is my first win in elective politics. I’ve contested several times before, dating back to my university days, but I had always lost. This victory means a lot to me.”
