JUST IN: Case Hospital Clarifies On Hospitalized NBS, Makona Medical Bills

Case Hospital has today Thursday, August 13, 2026 clarified on the status of medical bills associated to NBS staff, Brian Ssemanda popularly known as Makona.

Case statement is a reaction to a Social Media post soliciting for monies from well-wishers for alleged surgery with a telephone number, 0731650876 given for mobile money contributions.

However, Case hospital says Makona’s entire bills are being paid for by management of Next Media.

“Members of the public are therefore asked to disregard any appeal, campaign or mobile money solicitation calling for contributions toward his medical bills. No such appeal has been authorized by Case Hospital.

Meanwhile, the Hospital says Makona is receiving treatment and is recovering well.

Makona is the only survivor of a car in which two of his colleagues perished early Friday morning, August 7th, 2026.

Badru Kasirye, a producer for NBS and Sanyuka TV, and content creator Isaac Ndamagye both lost their lives at the scene near Namulanda.

The crash happened in the early hours after they left a celebrity boxing match at Supremacy Lounge in Nakulabye.
