Kololo Summit View Rotary Club and Millennium Supermarket Unite to Rally Support for the 2026 Cancer Run

On 19 August 2026, the Rotary Club of Kololo Summit View, in partnership with Millennium Supermarket, held a vibrant Cancer Run activation event in Kisementi, Kampala, ahead of the much-anticipated Rotary Cancer Run scheduled for 30 August 2026.

Kololo Summit View is a newly formed Rotary club with just 18 members, but its small size has not limited its ambition. The club is deeply committed to supporting the fight against cancer and is determined to raise as much as possible towards this important cause. The members’ commitment is also personal, with cancer survivors among the club, making the campaign especially meaningful to them.

The Rotary Cancer Run aims to raise funds towards acquiring essential cancer-treatment equipment for Nsambya Hospital. This year’s proceeds will specifically support the radiotherapy unit, contributing to the development of improved cancer-treatment services in Uganda. The broader vision is to see a fully equipped cancer hospital ready by next year, bringing hope and better access to treatment for cancer patients and their families.

The Kisementi activation brought together members of the Rotary Club, Millennium Supermarket, supporters and members of the public to create awareness about the upcoming run and encourage more people to join the cause.

Kololo Summit View is calling upon individuals, families, companies and communities to come together on 30 August and support the fight against cancer. Members of the public are encouraged to purchase Cancer Run vests, participate in the run and, most importantly, help spread the message that every contribution can make a difference.

With a small but highly dedicated team, Kololo Summit View is determined to make a big impact.
