Tense P Diddy interview with Wendy Williams resurfaces as they discuss her son

Renowned TV host Wendy Williams spoke with now disgraced rapper P Diddy back in 2017, but what appeared to be an innocent chat about her son now looks completely different in fans' eyes

An awkward interview between P Diddy and Wendy Williams has resurfaced online following his arrest.

The former rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, has been at the centre of a swirling drama after he was arrested in New York earlier this month. Since then, former fans of the star are combing through previous interviews to spot any missed signs.

Now, fans have been left disgusted after an old clip from an interview he did with showbiz TV host Wendy Williams came back into light. In the clip, the pair discussed Wendy's son Kevin, which had taken on a dark meaning following the allegations of sexual abuse.

The interview, which aired on her show in 2017, shows comedienne Wendy chatting with Diddy on his legacy and impact on the rap world. Things soon take a turn when he brings up Kevin.

Opening up, Wendy spoke positively of the impact Diddy had on her son, who had just turned 16 at the time. The now-disgraced star then chimed in: "Mhm, who I met backstage, he's a great young man."

The answerer appeared to throw Wendy off what she had been saying, and making her seem emotional in the process as she reflected on her child. "You, you represent a lot to a lot of people in general," she continued.

"I mean you're an example to people who aren't black, like 'Yes we can, yes we can," she added. "You're an example to boys, like your boys, my boys, their boys, boys in general."

However, with the allegations of abuse now being brought against Diddy, fans have interpreted Wendy's pause as a threat towards the star, warning him away from her child. One fan who had analysed the video exclaimed: "It looks like her mind is quickly flipping through all the different horrifying things that could've happened backstage."

A second user insisted: "The way that she hesitated, you know that she knew about him!" Whilst a third simply penned: "I can hear her internally screaming!"

Diddy remains detained after his alleged involvement in a sex trafficking case was discovered. It comes after the star was hit with huge legal action at the hands of his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who had accused him of sexual assault and abuse.

Though the case was settled out of court in late 2023, a number of different allegations came out of the woodwork, which led to the star's home being raided by Homeland Security earlier this year. Following their investigation, the star is alleged to have hosted "freak offs" involving non-consensual sex and prostitution - though Diddy strongly denies any of these claims being made against him
