American rapper, DJ, record producer, actor, and podcaster Lord Jamar has expressed his lack of surprise regarding the recent allegations against Diddy, the founder of Bad Boy Records.
Jamar noted that he has been aware of stories about Diddy since the early 1990s, suggesting that Diddy’s sexuality may have contributed to his dismissal from his initial position in the music industry at Uptown Records.
Diddy began his career as an A&R representative at Uptown Records in the early 1990s, working under Andre Harrell and playing a significant role in the rise of prominent R&B artists such as Mary J. Blige and Jodeci. However, he was terminated from Uptown in 1993, an event that ultimately led to the establishment of Bad Boy Records.
While Diddy has previously attributed his firing to his ambition, Lord Jamar contends that the real reason for his dismissal was an incident involving sexual activity with another man in the Uptown offices.
“That’s what I heard,” Lord Jamar remarked during an interview with The Art of Dialogue.
“He got caught in a precarious act, doing something real baby oil-ish in the office.” Jamar suggested that the individual involved in this alleged incident is also a notable figure, although he refrained from disclosing the person’s identity. “I don’t know,” the rapper stated. “I’m just saying, that was the rumor.”
“You just saw one of the gay mafia members. That’s who he is, that’s who Puffy is,” Lord Jamar told the outlet. “He is one of the members of the mob. He’s a mafia member. But he might not be the Don Carl, he is not the godfather. He is one of the heads of the family.”
Jamar is not alone in his claims, as Diddy’s former bodyguard has also recounted unsettling rumors about the artist dating back to the 1990s, including a story involving a young Usher.
