‘I fancy’: Peter Crouch has now predicted who will win… Arsenal or Liverpool

Liverpool face Arsenal this weekend in what could be one of the best games of the season.

The Gunners and the Reds will both fancy their chances of winning the Premier League this term, and whenever these two sides meet, there are fireworks.

The reverse fixture at Anfield was an end-to-end battle that somehow ended 1-1, while there were nine goals across two games between these two sides in the league last season.

This one is really tough to call, on one hand, Liverpool are in better form, but at the Emirates, it’s hard to ever back against Arsenal.

Speaking on his podcast, Peter Crouch has been discussing this game, and he’s put his neck on the line and predicted a win for Liverpool.

Crouch backs Liverpool win

The pundit shared his verdict on how this game will go.

“Liverpool are on fire with the goals, four past Bournemouth, five past Norwich. Scoring at will. Arsenal are capable of scoring goals as well, but I fancy Liverpool. I think Arsenal went through a sticky patch, they are coming through it, but I think coming into this game Liverpool will be favourites even though it’s at the Emirates,” Crouch said.

Red hot

Crouch is right to favour Liverpool in this one because the Merseyside club are red hot at the moment.

Liverpool have been unplayable as of late, whether that’s at Anfield or on their travels, and we can’t see their standards slipping this weekend.

Arsenal have been much improved in their last two games too, but there’s still an air of vulnerability around the Gunners that makes them underdogs going into this game.

If Arsenal want to win the league, these are the types of games they have to win, and the same applies to Liverpool.

Regardless of the result, this should be a cracking match.
