"Kony Must Report To UPDF." Gen Muhoozi Reacts To President Museveni's Luo Elder Role. Find Out More

Yesterday, the 2nd of January, 2025, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was the chief guest at the Piny Luo Cultural Festival, in Siaya County Kenya.

President Museveni was welcomed and received by Kenya President William Ruto and Azimio party leader Raila Odinga, who were also present to celebrate the festival.

It was a highly interactive festival that saw President Museveni take part in several Luo cultural activities of the day. 

In the end, while giving his, the president requested a Luo name, saying that he has learnt a lot from the festival.

First son and Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF, Gen Muhoozi congratulated the president on his performance and speech at the festival. 

Muhoozi went on to suggest that since President Museveni is now a Luo leader, former LRA (Lord Resistance Army) leader Joseph Kony should respect him by reporting himself to the UPDF.

"Now that Mzee Museveni is a Luo elder, he can order Ladit Joseph Kony to report to the nearest UPDF unit for arrest," said Gen Muhoozi via his X account (formerly Twitter).

Kony's LRA army terrorized Northern Uganda for almost a decade, but thanks to the NRA (National Resistance Army) , now UPDF, the LRA were flushed out of the country and peace restored in the region.

Despite flushing out the LRA, Kony is yet to be captured and he is one of the top wanted people by the International Criminal Court. (ICC).
