Tears Flow as Ssemujju Nganda Delivers Emotional Tribute to Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya
Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, a close friend of the late Kawempe North MP Muhammad Ssegirinya, has delivered an emotional tribute following the legislator's untimely demise.
Nganda Ssemujju, a resident of Bulamu Deputy Village in Kasangati Town Council and a renowned politician, described Ssegirinya as a dedicated servant of the people and a man of unwavering determination.
Speaking during a condolence gathering, Ssemujju highlighted the personal and professional qualities that set Ssegirinya apart.
He recalled the late MP’s unwavering commitment to his constituents and his fearless advocacy for justice and accountability in Uganda’s governance.
“Hon. Ssegirinya was not just a politician; he was a true friend to the people. His passion for the underprivileged and his zeal for public service were unmatched,” Ssemujju stated.
Ssemujju Nganda further praised Ssegirinya's courage in the face of adversity. Despite numerous arrests and challenges, Ssegirinya remained steadfast in his resolve to speak out against corruption and the plight of ordinary Ugandans.
His grassroots approach earned him the nickname "Mr. Updates," as he consistently kept his constituents informed and engaged through social media platforms.
Reflecting on their personal friendship, Ssemujju shared heartfelt memories of their conversations and mutual encouragement in their shared struggle for a better Uganda.
He described Muhammad Ssegirinya as a man with a lighthearted sense of humor but also a deep concern for the welfare of others.
Ssemujju Nganda concluded by urging the nation to honor Ssegirinya’s legacy by continuing his fight for justice and equity.
“Let us not let his voice fade into silence. Hon. Ssegirinya believed in a Uganda where everyone mattered, and it is our duty to carry that dream forward,” he said.
