Fresh Graduates Stun Ugandans as They Carried Pictures of Museveni & Muhoozi with Written Messages
A group of fresh graduates made headlines by carrying pictures of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and General Muhoozi Kainerugaba during their graduation ceremony.
The graduates, speaking on behalf of their peers, expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the peace and stability fostered by Uganda’s leadership and security forces, which they credited for creating an enabling environment for their education.
“It’s useless to graduate without acknowledging the people who have ensured peace and stability, enabling us to study in a conducive environment,” one of the graduates remarked.
The group highlighted the significant role played by the Commander-in-Chief, President Museveni, and the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, in maintaining Uganda’s stability.
The graduates also extended their gratitude to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and other security organs for their tireless efforts in safeguarding the nation.
“Thank you, CIC Gen. Museveni, CDF Gen. MK, and all our security organs,” they said.
The gesture sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms. Some praised the graduates for recognizing the country’s leadership and acknowledging the importance of peace in achieving academic milestones.
Others, however, criticized the move as overly political and argued that education should remain independent of such displays.
This unusual tribute has reignited conversations about the relationship between education, governance, and security in Uganda.

While opinions may differ, the graduates’ actions underline the profound impact of peace and stability on individual and collective success, as well as the central role of national leadership in shaping the future.
