Muhoozi’s Death Threats Are Not a Joke and Must Be Taken Seriously—Deputy Lord Mayor Drops Bombshell
Doreen Nyanjura Omutatina, the Deputy Lord Mayor of Kampala, has spoken out about the serious threats made by General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of Uganda and the son of President Yoweri Museveni.
"First he promised to behead @HEBobiwine, now he has declared the venue and day they plan to execute @kizzabesigye1, he has only not told us the time," Omutatina said in a tweet on her verified X handle. "For those that might have forgotten, @mkainerugaba is the Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) not that he qualifies but because he is Dictator Museveni’s son."
Omutatina's comments come after Muhoozi made threatening tweets that have caused widespread concern and anger. He recently returned to Twitter after saying he was leaving the platform to focus on his work.
The Deputy Lord Mayor's statement highlights the growing fear among Ugandans about Muhoozi's actions and the danger of his threats.
"Those that tried to challenge his stupid and foolish utterances in court are currently on the run living like fugitives, they received death threats for daring to challenge Museveni’s only begotten son," Omutatina said.
Omutatina also warned that Muhoozi's threats should not be ignored, recalling his past actions. "For those of you who think @mkainerugaba is joking, he is not. When he promised to work on Kakwenza, he delivered, when he promised to work on @kiizaeron, he delivered."
She ended her statement with a call for people to speak up. "There is a price we shall pay for keeping quiet and there is a price we shall pay when he stand up against Muhoozi’s crap, the price for merely watching is higher."
Muhoozi has been a controversial figure recently, with many people criticizing his social media posts that seem to threaten and scare others. Just recently, he deleted a tweet where he threatened U.S. Ambassador William Popp, causing an international issue
