Gen Muhoozi Suffers a Major Blow as his Longtime Supporter Disowns Him After He Said This
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda's First Son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), has suffered a significant setback after his longtime supporter, Minister of State for Youth and Children's Affairs Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, disowned him over controversial posts on X, formerly Twitter.
Minister of State for Youth and Children's Affairs Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi has distanced himself from recent X posts made by Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda's First Son and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).
Barugahara, a staunch supporter of Muhoozi, has consistently praised his posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. However, the recent controversial posts have forced Barugahara to disown the account’s messages.
One of the posts called for the hanging of opposition leaders, including Dr. Kizza Besigye, in Gulu. This shocking statement stirred widespread criticism.
Earlier, Muhoozi had announced he would take a break from X, claiming he was instructed by Jesus to leave the platform.
However, his return has been marked by a significant loss of followers, with his account dropping from over one million followers to mere hundreds.
Despite promising to regain his followers and “shake the world,” his recent posts have only fueled controversy.
Barugahara claims that Muhoozi's account was hijacked by "st*pid people" who have been misusing it to create chaos.
The minister expressed disappointment over the posts, which he says do not reflect the General’s character or intentions.
The disappearance of Muhoozi’s account shortly after the inflammatory posts has further fueled speculation, leaving many to question the integrity of his social media presence and the motives behind the posts.
