Former Minister Princess Kabakumba Labwoni Masiko has moved on from politics and is now focused on law and public service.
She resigned from government in 2011 after facing allegations of misusing Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) equipment for her private radio station, Kings Broadcasting Services.
Born in Masindi District in 1966, Kabakumba studied economics at Makerere University before joining politics in 1996. She represented Masindi and later Bujenje County in Parliament until 2016.
Over the years, she served in several key government positions, including Minister for Information and Minister for Kampala Capital City Authority.
After leaving politics, she went back to school to study law. In 2018, she earned a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre and became a lawyer. She is now an advocate of Uganda’s High Court and a partner at MALDES Advocates.
