Family Member Describes Brig Gen Oluka’s Final Moments Before Tragic Death

The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) and the Internal Security Organisation (ISO) are in mourning after the sudden loss of Brigadier General Charles Oluka. His unexpected death has deeply affected his family, friends, and colleagues.

Yesterday evening, Brig. Gen. Oluka had just finished work and returned home around 5 PM to join his family for dinner and evening prayers. A Family member reported that he seemed well before the incident. However, during their prayer time, he suddenly collapsed, prompting his loved ones to rush him to the hospital.

They rushed him to Sseguku Hospital on Entebbe Road, but sadly, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The shock of this event has left many struggling to understand the loss of such a respected leader.

Haji Faruk Kirunda, the Special Presidential Assistant for Press and Mobilisation, confirmed the news of Brig. Gen. Oluka's death and expressed his deep sadness. He highlighted Oluka’s efforts in improving teamwork within the ISO and praised his strong commitment to serving his country.

In a heartfelt message, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa offered condolences to Brig. Gen. Oluka's family, describing him as a gentleman who greatly raised the profile of the ISO. Tayebwa noted Oluka’s dedication to his work and offered prayers for his family during this tough time.
