Mathias Mpuuga and his Democratic Alliance Comrades Denied Entry to Prince Kassim Nakibinge’s Residence

According to reports, Democratic Alliance president Hon Mathias Mpuuga and his associates were left disheartened after they were denied entry into the residence of Muslim community leader Prince Dr. Kassim Nakibinge Kakungulu a few days ago.

Sources indicate that Mathias Mpuuga, accompanied by Mike Mabikke, Henry Lubowa, Samuel Lubega Mukaku, and others, intended to visit Dr. Nakibinge to offer their condolences for his mother Sarah Namusisi, who passed away last December.

However, UPDF commandos responsible for security at the heavily protected home requested Mpuuga to provide proof of an appointment to meet with Dr. Nakibinge before granting them access.

While they remained at the gate with presents, including matooke that they had brought, Hon Mpuuga made several calls to individuals close to the titular head Nakibinge in hopes that they would intervene and facilitate a meeting.

However, Nakibinge refused, stating that he had not arranged any meeting with Mpuuga and his team and that he was occupied with other visitors.

Sources reveal that following the embarrassing situation, Prince Nakibinge informed his aides that he was fully aware that Mpuuga and the Democratic Alliance officials were merely looking to engage in political maneuvering in anticipation of the 2026 elections, which is why he declined to meet them.

Prince Nakibinge is known for steering clear of officials accused of corruption, as well as those who exploit Uganda’s poor citizens.

Ever since establishing his own political party, Mpuuga has been actively seeking political support from the headquarters of various political and cultural organizations.
