According to officials, throughout the holy month of Ramadan, Royco will serve Iftar meals at 25 mosques nationwide, fostering community spirit and promoting the values of sharing and kindness that define this season.
In addition to serving meals, the initiative will also feature donation drives and activations at select supermarkets, allowing Ugandans to contribute towards supporting
those in need.
Speaking at the launch event, Grace Nandawula, Head of Customer and Strategy Planning at Unilever Uganda, emphasized the importance of generosity during Ramadan and Royco’s commitment to enriching lives through nutrition and community engagement.
“Ramadan is a time of reflection, devotion, and sharing. With the ‘Share Goodness’ campaign, Royco is honored to play a part in turning regular meals into memorable moments for families across Uganda,” she said.
“Royco plays a crucial role in enhancing every meal by adding rich flavour, taste, and thickness. During the most important meals of the day—Dakau and Iftar—don’t forget to add Royco to every dish. Its unique blend of spices transforms ordinary meals into extraordinary culinary experiences, making every bite more enjoyable and memorable.”
She said that through their Iftar meal activations and supermarket donation initiatives, they will be reaffirming their commitment to promoting healthier living and fostering a spirit of togetherness.
The ‘Share Goodness’ campaign will not only provide nutritious meals but will also engage the broader community through donation of bins to 30 selected supermarkets where shoppers can donate food items which will be collected weekly and distributed to selected mosques.
The company will also provide QR codes in-store, enabling shoppers to scan, select a mosque of their choice, and send mobile money contributions.
They will also be providing beautifully curated Iftar experiences at participating mosques, featuring meals prepared with Royco’s signature seasoning to enhance flavor and nourishment.
The meals served will include Katogo with Royco 2in1, Pilau with Royco 2in1, and beans with Royco cubes.
“This is our way of spreading joy and sharing the blessings of Ramadan with everyone. We invite everyone to join us in this journey of generosity and community spirit,” Nandawula said.
