EXCLUSIVE! Full List of 202 Public Officials Yet to Refund Misused Govt’s Shs2,363,814,211

The Inspectorate of Government has released a full list of 202 civil servants who are yet to refund over Shs2Billion they misappropriated.

The IGG warns in the list last updated today, Monday, March 16, 2026 that the affected civil servants risk prosecution for Abuse of Office and disobedience of lawful orders if they do not refund the money by 30th April, 2026.

The affected public officials allegedly used the monies for personal gain at the expense of public services thereby causing financial loss to government.

All the listed Public officials are required to report to the Inspectorate of Government by 31st March, 2026 to reconcile their outstanding balances, failure of which will attract further action including prosecution.

“This is a final reminder to give the affected officers an opportunity to be heard in compliance with principles of natural justice,” warns IGG.
