Jamal Wasswa has made it clear that despite his reduced presence in the media and fewer song releases, he has no plans to retire from music.

The artist insists that music is an integral part of his life that he cannot simply walk away from.

“You can’t leave music, especially if you have good music. It’s hard to let go,” Jamal stated, emphasizing his deep connection to his craft.

While some may assume his absence from the spotlight signals a career slowdown, he assures fans that he is still actively involved in music—just on his own terms.

Jamal revealed that his international audience has played a key role in sustaining his career.

Having tapped into a market that appreciates his style, he finds it easier to maintain a balance without constantly being in the public eye.

“I got lucky and gained an international audience, and I make their type of music. So, I can balance it,” he explained.

He further stressed that for him, relevance isn’t about always being in the media but rather about making timeless music that continues to resonate with listeners.
