Besigye Sends an Emotional Message to Ugandans from Prison After a Special Visit

Ugandan opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye has sent an emotional message to Ugandans from prison, urging them to take charge of their country’s future.
His remarks came after a special visit from Zuena Kirema Ssali, wife of popular musician Bebe Cool.
Speaking passionately, Besigye emphasized that his mission is to awaken Ugandans to their responsibility in shaping their nation.
“My call and my duty is to tell Ugandans to wake up and to take their responsibility, their duty of having a country under their charge very seriously,” he stated.
The veteran opposition figure, who has been arrested multiple times for his activism, also defended his firm stance against what he calls injustice and oppression.
“I’m only tough against evil,” he declared, reinforcing his commitment to the fight for democracy and good governance in Uganda.
Besigye’s message has sparked discussions among Ugandans, with many praising his resilience in the face of repeated detentions.
His continued activism remains a challenge to President Yoweri Museveni’s long rule, as the opposition seeks to mobilize support for political change in the country.
Authorities have not commented on his latest statements, but his message is resonating across Uganda.
