The Deadly Phone Call & Video that Has Spell Doom to Molly Katanga as Her Case Takes a Heated Twist

The murder trial of Ugandan businessman Henry Katanga has taken a dramatic turn after a police forensic expert revealed explosive evidence of intense phone activity and disturbing videos from the day of his death.
Testifying before Justice Rosette Comfort Kania at the High Court in Kampala, AIP Enoch Kanene, a digital forensic examiner, detailed how Denise Nayebare, a relative present at Katanga’s home, made or received 101 phone calls on November 2, 2023, the day Katanga died.
"My lord, this handset was used from 6:19 a.m., starting with a missed call from a contact saved as Nelson Mbuya," Kanene stated.
He added that the sheer number of calls raised suspicions about Nayebare’s actions that day.
The court also heard that a phone belonging to George Amanyire, the household shamba boy, contained three short videos recorded at 9:41 a.m., showing blood on the corridor floor and inside Katanga’s bedroom.
The videos, lasting between four and ten seconds, were backed by still images of blood-stained floors and a selfie of the suspect wearing a blood-stained shirt.
In contrast, Molly Katanga’s phone records showed only one missed call — at 11:31 a.m. from a contact saved as "Babiba/Grace."
The phone was linked to a user account under the registered name "Katanga Molly," confirming her identity as the user.
With the new evidence surfacing, the case has taken a heated twist, leaving more questions about what truly happened on that fateful day.
