"Let Them Keep Their Aid We Will Not Suffer" M7 Bragged But UGX 604B Is Gone,Health Sector Bleeding

President Yoweri Museveni once said that Uganda would not suffer if the United States cut its financial aid.

“Let them keep their aid! Uganda will not suffer because of their money,” he declared boldly.

However, new reports from the Ministry of Health tell a different story.

Investigations have revealed that Uganda has lost over UGX 604 billion following the withdrawal of U.S. foreign aid.

The funds were helping to support various health programs, including salaries for health workers.

With this money gone, hospitals and clinics are now struggling to operate.

What is even more shocking is that part of this money included secret funds that the NRM government was receiving.

According to reports, some of these funds were meant for LGBTQ+ programs, which the government had been taking quietly.

Yet, at the same time, NRM has been accusing the opposition party, the National Unity Platform (NUP), of supporting LGBTQ+ rights.

Now, with these funds gone, the government is struggling to explain the situation.

Many Ugandans are questioning why the government was secretly receiving money for programs it publicly opposed.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that the funding cuts have affected health services.

Many health workers have not received their salaries on time, and some hospitals are facing medicine shortages.

Patients who rely on free health services are now being forced to pay for treatment, making life even harder for poor Ugandans.

“We used to get enough supplies, but now we are struggling,” said a nurse at a public hospital in Kampala.

“Some of my colleagues have not been paid for months, and many are thinking of quitting their jobs.”

Opposition leaders have criticized the government for mismanaging donor funds and misleading the public.

“They told Ugandans that we don’t need foreign aid, but now hospitals are running out of money. Who is suffering now?” one opposition MP asked.
