The 'intoxicatingly amazing' Aussie perfume scent taking over the world - and Sofia Richie has already named it her 'signature'

Aussie mum Raquel Boris has built a fragrance empire that's earned legions of beauty fans worldwide.
Now, the founder of genderless perfume house Who is Elijah? can count celebrity model Sofia Richie-Grainge among the list of customers that adore the brand's best-selling unisex fragrance, Nomad.
Raquel, 28, recently revealed over a series of TikTok videos that she had a 'pinch me moment' after her celebrity muse Sofia discovered the brand online and even placed an order to purchase a bottle of the gender-neutral woody, amber, floral perfume.
The mother-of-two explained that her Who Is Elijah? TikTok account had posted a video that described their Nomad fragrance as the scent incarnation of Sofia, because it was 'timeless, powerful and undeniably chic'.
Days later, the stunned beauty entrepreneur discovered the 26-year-old American model and influencer had commented on the Aussie brand's TikTok video and subsequently ordered the Nomad perfume.
'I couldn't believe my eyes,' Raquel said.
Soon afterwards, the daughter of musician Lionel Richie and sister of Nicole Richie appeared to give a clear hint that the scent had her tick of approval.
Raquel recounted in a follow-up TikTok video that after hand delivering the perfume to Sofia's LA home she scored a personal invite from the social media star to join her for dinner at her house.
So, what is it about the Who is Elijah? Nomad scent that has created such a buzz?
Brand founder Raquel exclusively tells FEMAIL that the fragrance is 'the definition of understated luxury'.
'It's the little black dress and the navy suit of your fragrance wardrobe,' the perfume maker explains. 'We created it to be the scent you reach for every day'.
The perfume, which costs $179 for a 100mL bottle, features top notes of Egyptian jasmine, saffron and almond on a heart of amberwood, Bulgarian rose, and ambergris and base notes of fir resin, cedar, moss, and musk.
Raquel started her fragrance house Who is Elijah? in 2018 after becoming obsessed with a wild, gender-neutral scent that she smelt on a dancefloor at Coachella.
The young mother had always been drawn to more masculine scents but found there wasn't really anything on the market which appealed to her taste completely - so decided to create her own.
Raquel admittedly struggled to recreate an exact match for the intoxicating fragrance that she first smelt on a fellow festival-goer.
But far from being disheartened, the young woman kept working with her perfumer, and they eventually came up with the brand's debut scent, His/Her.
Raquel said she 'absolutely fell in love with' her fragrance creation - despite it being completely different to the smell that had originally inspired her.
This perfume, which combines traditional masculine and feminine notes, became the flagship scent for Who is Elijah?.
The beauty entrepreneur started the fragrance business from her garage and in just a few years it has developed an international cult following and became a multi-million dollar perfume empire.
'I pinch myself that our fragrances are loved by so many,' Raquel previously told FEMAIL.
In 2025, there are now 15 different Who Is Elijah? perfumes within the brand's portfolio.
In addition to Nomad, the brand's best sellers are Morning After and Wall Street.
