Popular Nigerian media personality and actress, KieKie, has revealed a lesser-known side of herself — her deep-rooted passion for gospel music and drumming. In a recent interview with Pulse, the vibrant entertainer shared that if she hadn’t pursued a career in media and acting, she would have likely followed the path of a gospel artist.
KieKie, whose real name is Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, explained that her love for music began in her hometown of Ibadan, where she was an active member of her local church. For two years, she led the praise and worship team, serving as the lead vocalist and frequently playing the drums during services. She credits this experience for shaping her confidence and stage presence.
According to her, the church played a significant role in developing her talent and passion for performing. However, after relocating to Lagos, her career took a different turn as she leaned into entertainment, content creation, and acting, where she has since made a name for herself.
Despite her success in media, KieKie says music still holds a special place in her heart, and she continues to nurture that passion behind the scenes
