Gen. Muhoozi Blasts Gen. Edward for Embarrassing Museveni, Reveals What He Intends to Do by Himself

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has publicly criticized the state of the ring road around Entebbe International Airport (EIA), calling it an embarrassment to the country. In a strongly worded statement, he gave the responsible authorities a one-month ultimatum to fix the road, warning that if they fail, he and his team will take matters into their own hands.

The ring road, which serves as a crucial access route around Uganda’s main international gateway, has long been in a deplorable state.

Despite its strategic importance, the road remains untarmacked, creating a poor first impression for visitors arriving in the country. Gen. Muhoozi’s frustration reflects growing concerns over infrastructure delays, even in areas of national significance.

His direct attack on the responsible ministry, likely targeting the Works and Transport docket, puts pressure on officials to act swiftly.

The public has often accused government agencies of sluggish implementation of projects, with many roads across Uganda left incomplete due to bureaucratic inefficiencies or alleged mismanagement of funds.

By declaring his intention to personally oversee the tarmacking of the road if no action is taken, Muhoozi has once again positioned himself as a leader willing to bypass traditional government channels to get things done.

His remarks are likely to spark debate on whether the military should intervene in civil infrastructure projects.

With his deadline set, all eyes are now on the Roads Minister and the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) to see if they will respond to the ultimatum or risk being outshined by Uganda’s top general
