Kyabazinga Mourns Pope Francis

The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Highness William Gabula Wilberforce Nadiope IV, has joined world leaders—including President Museveni—in mourning the death of Pope Francis, who passed away yesterday at his residence in Casa Santa Marta, Vatican City.
Taking to his official X platform, the Kyabazinga paid tribute to the late Pontiff, describing him as "a powerful voice for the poor who championed a more inclusive Catholic Church but faced intense opposition."
His Highness also praised Pope Francis for his global advocacy, noting that "he will be remembered for his humility, his unwavering pursuit of justice across all religions, and his leadership on climate change."

The Vatican has announced that the Pope’s body will be transferred from the chapel at Casa Santa Marta to St Peter’s Basilica tomorrow, where it will lie in state.
