The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has issued a strong statement reaffirming the military's commitment to safeguarding national security and stability.

In a message shared on X, Gen. Muhoozi expressed gratitude to President Yoweri Museveni, who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), for his leadership and counsel to the country’s top military organs.

“I thank our venerable and heroic Commander-in-Chief, H.E. Museveni, for his wise guidance to the High Command and Defence Council. We will never allow hooligans and puppets to come anywhere near power. We are going to SMASH them once and for all,” the CDF posted.

The statement follows recent engagements by the High Command and Defence Council, during which strategic directives and national defence priorities were discussed.

General Muhoozi’s remarks highlight the army’s continued focus on preserving peace, upholding constitutional order, and preventing any disruptions to national governance.

The UPDF leadership has consistently maintained its role in ensuring stability across the country, particularly as Uganda approaches another electoral cycle.

His tenure has emphasized discipline, modernization of the armed forces, and unwavering loyalty to the Constitution and the Commander-in-Chief
