The ministry runs an online TV and radio station, broadcasting to followers in Uganda, India, Burundi, Malawi, Canada, the USA, and more. It also partners with media houses in those countries to share its teachings.

The ministry calls itself an "army" that brings truth and change across the world. It believes every Christian should know how to heal, perform miracles, and overcome life’s challenges.

Grace Lubega began his journey at Makerere University, where Phaneroo started as a small fellowship. Some once saw it as an offshoot of Christ Heart Ministries International in Mukono. But he soon built his own path.

Today, Phaneroo holds weekly fellowships on Thursdays and Sundays, drawing students and young professionals eager for spiritual growth.

Before full-time ministry, Lubega worked at Kenya Commercial Bank. He married Nicole Kavuma, a law graduate, in March 2019 at Lake Victoria Serena in Kigo.

He grew up Roman Catholic and first gave his life to Christ at age eight after attending a crusade. He later drifted but came back to faith in 2005 while at university.

In a 2015 interview with Independent Magazine, Lubega said God called him to start Phaneroo after noticing how churches failed to answer big questions about faith. He believed the church had given a false image of God, and he wanted to correct that.

He also told reporters that while working at KCB Bank as a customer service supervisor, he heard a voice telling him to begin a youth-focused fellowship. His aim was to teach what Jesus left unexplained.

Lubega loves reading Christian thinkers like C.S. Lewis and Essek William Kenyon, who inspired his views on wisdom and deep faith.

His sermons, rich in Bible teaching and Greek language insights, have drawn many young people. But in 2018, he faced backlash after a sermon criticising Bobi Wine went viral.

In 2023, Lubega received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Zoe Life Theological College in America, adding academic weight to his growing influence.

Now, he faces fresh debate after announcing plans to build a $55 million church building without holding a fundraiser. Followers and critics alike are watching closely to see how this bold vision unfolds
