Muhoozi Warns Wangadya Over Eddie Mutwe’s Release Order

Following the abduction of Edward Sebuufu Rogers alias Eddy Mutwe who is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu’s (Bobi Wine) chief Body Guard for the last over 20 years in Mukono late last Month on 27th April 2025 which caused panic, unease in the circles of opposition especially in NUP, his whereabouts were later revealed.

In a string of posts of his X formerly Twitter, the CDF Muhoozi Keienerugaba revealed that he’s holding Eddy Mutwe in his basement teaching him Runyankore. He would later post half naked pictures of Mutwe with captions like HERE HE WAS URINATING. Muhoozi also chopped off Eddy Mutwe’s beards while holding him in the basement.

His utterances caused uproar online especially right thinking Ugandans who called out the CDF for igniting tribal sentiments of tagging Runyankore with torturing of people under his custody as he issued several threats to NUP and Bobi Wine whom he said he’ll soon go arrest from Magere.

Mariam Wangadya’s Uganda Human Rights Commission developed a think skin, composed itself and issued a release order directing Muhoozi to release Eddie Mutwe with immediate effect and warned him of the consequences if he didn’t heed to the directive quoting Article 53 (1) (d) of the constitution.

The Uganda Human Rights Commission is the only government entity that has had the balls to call out Muhoozi on rights abuses something the UPDF, Ministers, Ugandan Parliament, Uganda Police have all failed. UPDF which he heads has always distanced itself from the controversial posts claiming they’re his as a person and don’t represent the position of the institution or the office he holds.

As Wangadya’s Human Rights Commission issued the directive, the million dollar Question was whether Muhoozi will respect her directive and release Eddie Mutwe. However, due to public pressure, the army dumped Eddy Mutwe at Masaka Court on 5th May 2025. A judge who was already aware of the developments was on standby and remanded Mutwe who was visibly very sick and not even able to walk to Masaka Prison.

The Masaka Court charged Eddy Mutwe with aggravated robbery. These are the same cases his colleagues Achileo Kivumbi, Gaddafi Mugumya and Grace Wakabi Smart who are all Bobi Wine’s bodyguards also remanded to Masaka Prison.

Bobi Wine and several other leaders stormed Masaka Main prison to check on Mutwe. He narrated his ordeal while in Muhoozi’s basement. He revealed he was electrocuted, starved, beaten and his manhood squeezed in front of Muhoozi. Mutwe told this same ordeal to Mariam Wangadya who visited him with her commission in prison.

Now almost a fortnight since acknowledging receipt of the Release Order, Muhoozi has slapped Mariam Wangadya and her Commission in the face by telling her that she should never ever send him such orders and she should apologize to him. Taking to his usual controversial X account, Muhoozi says the likes of Wangadya should never think of sending him such stupid letters.
