Vote Only Those Who Support Buganda Kingdom - Katikiro Peter Mayiga

Charles Peter Mayiga explained that he has no particular party he supports but is willing to work with individuals who support the Kingdom of Buganda, and he rallied his subjects to support them.

The Prime Minister, Charles Peter Mayiga, carries much influence in Buganda Kingdom and the country at large. He is a man who carries the message of the Kingdom and that of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi.

Mayiga has since opened up about his choice ahead of the coming 2026 elections. Speaking in an interview with media in the USA, the Katikiro asked the people of Buganda to vote for whoever supports the Kingdom.

Charles Peter Mayiga explained that he has no particular party he supports but is willing to work with individuals who support the Kingdom of Buganda, and he rallied his subjects to support them.

Mayiga personally says he has one vote and it has no influence, but the people of Buganda have numbers and can influence political decisions through elections.

"I don't support NUP, and neither do I support NRM. I support whoever supports Buganda Kingdom. I ask the people to cast their votes for whoever loves Buganda Kingdom and one who supports it because personally, I have one vote," he explained.

During the 2021 elections, Buganda Kingdom and the Central region, in particular, voted in favor of the National Unity Platform. It is the party that has more members of parliament from the region.

Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, also won against President Kaguta Museveni in most parts ofanda.

However, at the moment, the ruling government is working tirelessly to regain its grip on the region
