Opportunity Bank Basks in Triumph at BoU's Agricultural Credit Facility Awards

It was a night to remember as Opportunity Bank Uganda scooped nine awards at this year's Agricultural Credit Facility Awards(ACF) organised by Bank of Uganda.
The awards ceremony was held at the Sheraton Hotel, Kampala to mark 15 years of the transformative ACF loan scheme, which has powered Uganda’s agricultural finance landscape.
The awards recognized financial institutions that have gone above and beyond in accelerating economic development through innovative and inclusive agricultural lending.
During the event, Opportunity Bank took home the overall best performing financial institution in the credit institutions and microfinance deposit taking institutions, highest number of loan applications submitted to BoU, most loans disbursed to small borrowers, highest absorption rate by loan value disbursed and overall best performer in the credit and microfinance deposit taking category.
Opportunity Bank was also rewarded for the highest absorption rate by loan value disbursed, widest outreach in underserved regions, most loan applications submitted to BoU and first runners-up for highest number of loans disbursed in underserved regions.
Speaking at the sidelines of the event, the CEO of Opportunity Bank, Owen Amanya said the awards reaffirm their commitment to serve Ugandans.
