A team from Budadiiri has embarked on an extraordinary journey this morning, as they were flagged off with 57 drone vehicles donated to transport Catholic faithful to the annual Martyrs Day celebrations at Namugongo on June 3rd.

The remarkable donation was made possible by Rev. Jackson Magombe and Nandala Mafabi, who have generously provided these comfortable drones to ensure safe and efficient transport for the pilgrims.

In a symbolic and spirited ceremony, Rev. Jackson Magombe officially flagged off the team, marking the beginning of this unique pilgrimage.

Speaking at the event, Rev. Magombe emphasised the significance of this initiative, describing it as a testament to their unwavering commitment to supporting the faith and the community’s spiritual journey.

He lauded the use of modern technology in facilitating the travel of pilgrims, noting that the drones would not only reduce travel time but also ensure a memorable experience for the faithful.

Nandala Mafabi also expressed his heartfelt support for the pilgrims, commending their dedication and encouraging them to embrace this historic opportunity.

As the 57 drones soar towards Namugongo, they carry with them the hopes and prayers of an entire community, determined to be part of this year’s Martyrs Day festivities.
