Buzeki Inspects Progress on Key Roadworks in Kampala
The Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Sharifah Buzeki, has inspected ongoing roadworks across Kampala as part of the Kampala City Roads Rehabilitation Project (KCRRP).
Her visit covered major thoroughfares including Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road, Salaama Road, and 5th, 7th, and 8th Streets.
Buzeki noted visible progress on the roads and reaffirmed KCCA’s commitment to ensuring the upgrades meet the city’s infrastructure standards.
“Progress is evident, and we’re committed to ensuring these upgrades meet our city’s infrastructure standards,†she said.
The project aims to improve Kampala’s road network, reduce congestion, and enhance residents’ quality of life. It forms a vital part of KCCA’s broader goal to transform the capital into a modern, efficient, and sustainable city.
Buzeki’s site visit underscores KCCA’s dedication to closely monitoring the project’s implementation, ensuring the works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Regular inspections help identify challenges early, allowing prompt resolution and keeping the rehabilitation on track.
The road upgrades are expected to benefit residents, businesses, and visitors by creating a smoother, safer transport environment across Kampala.
