Bunyoro Kingdom Premier Tips Companies on Giving Back to Society

The Prime Minister of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom Andrew Byakutaga has challenged companies and organizations to embrace corporate social responsibility saying this helps them keep touch with the community but also transformation of society where they operate.
Byakutaga made the call as he received a contribution of shs 10 million from Kinyara Sugar limited to support the 31st anniversary for Omukama Dr Solomon Gafabusa Iguru 1.
During the meeting, Kinyara Sugar Ltd Chief Executive Officer Ravi Ramalingam who was in company of Senthil Kumar, the agricultural manager, Francis Mugerwa the public relations officer disclosed the company's contribution of shs 10 Million towards the royal celebrations.
Kinyara commended the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom and all the people of Bunyoro-Kitara for the hospitality and support to the company.
"Bunyoro has been hospitable, we are part of Bunyoro now, i'm pleased to take part in all Kingdom activities always, we wish you a peaceful and colorful celebrations" he stated
The kingdom's Prime Minister Byakutaga expressed gratitude for Kinyara Sugar Ltd generous support towards both the Empango Run and the coronation anniversary asking NGOs and companies to embrace corporate social responsibility activities.
"Kinyara has been our consistent partners, we are proud to have such investors in our region, we hope others can emulate you" he said.
He also commended Kinyara Sugar Ltd for its contribution towards the social economic development of Bunyoro in terms of giving employment and business opportunities to the people as well as Corporate Social Responsibility programs in communities.
The Prime Minister handed over Royal running kits that will be used by runners in the Empango Marathon slated for today, June, 7 and invited the company staff to participate in the event.
Kinyara Sugar Ltd Public Relations Officer Francis Mugerwa assured the company of continued support for culture, and kingdom activities.
"As a company we respect and value culture, thus any activity done by the kingdom we will always be available to render a hand" he stated.
Kinyara also assured that some of the company staff will participate in not only the Royal Marathon but even in the subsequent activities that have been organized by the Kingdom to commemorate the 31st Coronation Anniversary Celebrations ofDr. Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I, the Omukama of Bunyoro-Kitara.
The main Celebrations are scheduled for June 11, 2025, at Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom's parliamentary gardens.
