NUP Sec General Rubongoya Reacts As NUP Mobilizer Buwembo Says He's Been Sleeping in People's Homes

National Unity Platform Mobilizer for Entebbe, Mr. Buwembo has expressed his concern over the increasing number security operatives who he said have been looking for him for unknown reasons.

Buwembo who was speaking about his current situation claimed that he has been forced to sleep in people's homes to evade the individuals who he claimed have been searching for him.

Speaking in Entebbe, Mr. Buwembo called upon the Uganda Police Force to summon him instead of making him live in fear of the Unknown.

Sources have confirmed that he was among NUP supporters who were detained for over a year in 2021, reportedly for wearing a red beret, a symbol associated with NUP but designated as military attire by the UPDF, has expressed his concern claiming that he is being hunted by security operatives.

National Unity Platform Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya who took to his X formerly Twitter to speak on this had this to say.

This is happening at the same time when NUP President, Honorable Bobi Wine has urged the government to leave NUP supporters alone.

In a post on X formerly Twitter, the renowned claimed that the government under President Yoweri Kaguta has been targeting their supporters.
