Candace Owens Compares Netanyahu to Hitler in Scathing Attack

American conservative firebrand Candace Owens has escalated her rhetorical war against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, likening him to Adolf Hitler in a blistering post on X (formerly Twitter) and accusing him of overseeing a genocide in Gaza with the help of “Goebbels-level propaganda.”

“Gaza is a concentration camp where an open genocide is taking place,” Owens wrote, directly invoking Holocaust terminology to condemn Israel’s ongoing military campaign.

“Just like Adolf Hitler, Bibi Netanyahu is an ethnocentric imperialist monster and we will make sure the world remembers what all of you supported when God has his vengeance.”

The statement has sent shockwaves through America’s conservative circles and intensified her public break with former President Donald Trump, who remains a staunch supporter of Israel and Netanyahu.

Owens, once seen as one of Trump’s most loyal and outspoken surrogates, now accuses him of betraying Republican voters by backing a war she believes is being waged in the service of “warmongers and globalist interests.”

“Let me know how horrified you are by this comparison,” she continued in the post, “and I’ll let you know how little we care. I will never stand with genocidal maniacs, who are committing an open holocaust and trying to usher in WW3, all while purporting to be eternal victims.”

Her post also alludes to long-standing conspiracy theories, suggesting that Netanyahu might be part of an elite blackmail ring tied to Jeffrey Epstein and accusing him of potentially orchestrating political assassinations and false flag operations.

Owens, a frequent lightning rod for controversy, has built her career by defying establishment narratives and triggering outrage on both sides of the political aisle.

But even by her standards, the comparison of Netanyahu to Hitler crosses a line rarely approached by American political figures, especially on the right.

Critics have blasted the remarks as antisemitic, ahistorical, and inflammatory. Supporters, meanwhile, have applauded her for what they describe as moral clarity and the courage to call out U.S. complicity in the Gaza war.

The comments arrive amid deepening divisions within the Republican Party over the Israel-Iran conflict. A growing populist faction, energized by online influencers like Owens and Tucker Carlson, is pushing back against the longstanding pro-Israel consensus in Washington.

They argue that continued US support for Israel’s military campaign is dragging America into another endless war and eroding its moral standing.

Yet Owens’ invocation of the Holocaust to criticize Israel has proven uniquely polarizing. While Israel’s actions in Gaza have drawn condemnation from international human rights groups, comparing them directly to Nazi atrocities remains taboo in mainstream American discourse.

For Owens, however, this is not a moment for restraint.

“We’ve reached a point,” she wrote, “where the truth is more offensive than the killing.”

Candace Owens is not alone in drawing parallels between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Adolf Hitler—a comparison that has surfaced from leaders across the Middle East and Global South.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has repeatedly accused Netanyahu of Nazi-like behavior, declaring in April 2024 that “Netanyahu is worse than Hitler” and calling Israel’s war in Gaza “genocide.”

Bolivian President Luis Arce, after severing diplomatic ties with Israel, said the “brutal and disproportionate” attacks on Palestinians resembled “Nazi crimes.”

In Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Israel’s actions under Netanyahu were “not unlike what the Nazis did to Jews,” warning that history would remember him as a mass murderer.

Meanwhile, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro accused Netanyahu of trying to “exterminate the Palestinian people,” saying his actions “mirror fascist ideologies of the 20th century.”

Even South African leaders, including ANC officials, have likened Israeli apartheid policies under Netanyahu to Nazi rule, with Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor telling the ICJ that Israel’s conduct reflected “the logic of racial supremacy and domination.”

While controversial, these comparisons underscore the depth of global outrage over the Gaza war and Netanyahu’s role in it.

As the Gaza war rages on and the 2024 US presidential campaign heats up, Owens’ outburst signals an emboldened new tone among the American right’s most radical voices—one that is increasingly disillusioned with its former heroes and unafraid to name new villains, no matter how controversial the comparison.
