Chumi blasts “fake” music industry friendships

Uncle Chumi has spoken out about what she describes as the “fake” and selfish nature of friendships in the country’s music industry, cautioning fellow musicians and fans to tread carefully.
In an interview with Shalom 256, Chumi did not hold back, sharing her personal experiences and frustrations with the lack of loyalty and support among peers.
She pointed to her own fallout with Spice Diana as one of many instances that have shaped her current outlook.
Musicians’ friendships are fake. If you see your fellow musician calling you, just know that one is your friend. There’s no true friend in this industry.
Chumi also opened up about her former friendship with Nandor Love, which has since soured.
According to her, the friendship began to deteriorate when she realized that support and loyalty were not being reciprocated.
I can now call and even tell promoters to not consider her because I also developed a cold heart. I used to think about her when I got gigs but she didn’t do the same. We can’t even attend shows together anymore.
