Former CID Boss Hospitalized after Being Beaten, Robbed By Suspects Wearing NRM's T-Shirts

The Uganda Police Force has confirmed the arrest of several suspects who were involved in robberies that took place in Kampala during the nomination of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the Flag Bearer of the National Resistance Movement.

Sources have confirmed that several people were robbed in incidents that took place in broad daylight.

A video that is currently making rounds on social media platforms shows the suspects who were wearing NRM Shirts robbing the residents 'mostly women.

The gang members dressed in NRM T-shirts also attacked Assistant Inspector General of Police (Rtd) Akullo, robbing her of mobile phones and other items moments after she had parked her car to withdraw money from a bank near Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) offices.

Her son whose Name is yet to be revealed was also attacked, assaulted, and robbed by the same mob.

The attack left Ms Akullo’s son with a broken nose, she was rushed to Mulago Hospital for medical treatment.

In a post on X formerly Twitter, the Uganda Police Force spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke, Revealed that over 20 suspects had been arrested by Police officers who are actively searching for other suspects.
