Gen Muhoozi Sends an Urgent Message to Trump's Admin After Major Order Affecting Ugandan Women

General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, has issued a fiery statement condemning a reported U.S. policy under the Trump administration that allegedly restricts African and Black mothers from traveling to the United States to prevent the birth of Black children on American soil.
The claim, which has sparked outrage across Uganda and beyond, lacks official confirmation from U.S. authorities but has ignited a fierce debate on immigration policies.
In a strongly worded message, Gen Muhoozi demanded the immediate reversal of what he called “abominable legislation,” warning that failure to do so would bring dire consequences.
“The USA must remove this ridiculous suggestion that African/Black mothers are not allowed to travel simply because they may produce Black babies in the USA.
If the authorities there do not remove this, they will perish!” he declared.
The alleged policy appears to stem from recent expansions of the Trump administration’s travel ban, which currently affects 19 countries, including Uganda, and may extend to 36 others, according to a State Department memo.
Critics argue the bans disproportionately target African nations, fueling accusations of xenophobia.
U.S. officials have not confirmed any specific legislation targeting African women based on childbirth concerns.
The controversy underscores tensions in U.S.-Uganda relations, with potential implications for diplomatic and economic ties
