NRM Northern Uganda Vice Chairperson Daniel Kidega Nominated, Vows to Steer Party Growth

Daniel Kidega, the current NRM Vice Chairperson for Northern Uganda, has officially been nominated to continue serving in this key regional position.
His nomination marks a significant moment for the party, especially as it seeks to consolidate its structures and expand its influence across Uganda in preparation for the next electoral season.
Kidega’s political journey within the NRM starts from his youth. He rose through the ranks from the National Youth Council to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), where he also served as Speaker demonstrating a steady progression in leadership and unwavering loyalty to the ruling party.
“I have been in leadership from my youth-hood to adulthood,” Kidega said, emphasising that his experience gives him a unique understanding of the region’s political landscape and the party’s grassroots needs.
Kidega highlighted the need for better organisation within the NRM, noting that effective mobilisation is essential to secure a victory for President Museveni in the coming elections.
He emphasised that the party’s strength in Northern Uganda must translate into real development through improved service delivery.
“As leaders, we want to push NRM to all parts of the country so that services are delivered,” he said.
With his nomination, Kidega is expected to play a pivotal role in coordinating party activities, rallying support for the president, and expanding the party’s footprint, especially in areas where the opposition has previously gained ground.
